Finland stood in the shadows of one of the larger grave stones as he saw Aland walk into the mausoleum. He made sure that no one but him and her were around and that she didn’t spot him… yet. The smell of mold and rust lingered in the cool autumn air as a wind gust caused the old iron hinges of the mausoleum door creak and crack as the late afternoon sun filtered through the entrance and the trees outside giving odd and somewhat fighting shadows dancing on the walls. Finland walked ever so closer till he was in the front of the entrance and in clear view was Aland, who was placing roses for fallen friends who died in the last two world wars.

His little archipelago, his lovely Aland Islands, his beloved Sylvia. Finland wanted nothing more than to keep her and love her. But there was one problem, and that problem was Sweden. Berwald also cared for Sylvia like he did throughout the centuries. But that was the one thing that kept him and Sylvia apart, the greed and devotion Berwald had for her as well. If anything, him and Sweden fought over and about constantly it was the Aland Islands. So much so that Tino started to crack. He started to think more darkly, more strategic like. As well as cruel. He started viewing his best friend Berwald as he did Ivan during the Winter War, an enemy. But the last thing he wanted to do is physically hurt Sweden. He knew there had to be a better way to win Sylvia over than to hurt Berwald. So, he started doing his own personal recon on Sylvia and what bits and bobs he could use to make her love him. It wasn’t too long till he got what he information he needed; which led him here. Walking in, he calmly walked behind a statue making enough nose to make Sylvia aware of his presence.

“Who’s there?” asked Sylvia with a few more roses in her hands to give to the remaining people of the mausoleum.

Smiling darkly, he replied, “It is me Tino. There is nothing for you to be scared of Sylvia.”

Giving herself a huge sigh of relieve, she continued placing flowers on various markers. “You kind of scared me Tino. I thought you might be some sick psycho or some boogieman or maybe an axe murder.”

“Oh? I wouldn’t be sure about that.”

“You are always funny. My funny Finny. I always loved that about you.”

He walked behind more statues as he gave her a yearning look. His eyes taking in every subtle movement she made as thoughts of her in various stages of undress made his mouth water. “What else do you love about me?” Finland asked as the tone of his voice deepened as his smile became more of a slowly growing smirk.

Sylvia had to think about it for a moment, not aware that the Fin was right behind her. As the wind from outside blew in, the smell of her lavender perfume mixed with her own natural musk of her body hit his nose like a sniper bullet to the head. Finland gently grabbed her shoulders as he took a deep breath, inhaling her intoxicating sent that made his mouth quiver and voice shiver. Moving his hands down her arms he whispered in her ear, “I want you. I would do anything for you Sylvia. Sweden doesn’t love you the way I do. He sees you as property, I see you as more than that. I see you as an independent woman, a powerful woman. You are not a little girl and I refuse to treat you like one like Berwald does.”

She let out a light moan as Finland started kissing her blond locks, while both were unaware of Sweden’s presence outside the mausoleum as he saw and heard everything. His best friend Tino was taking away his Sylvia from him and she was falling for the Fin’s charms. Berwald knew what he had to do and that was plot his revenge.
